Saipem SpA (SPM.MI), Europe's biggest oil services company by market value, Monday said it got new offshore engineering and construction contracts in Latin America worth a total of about $500 million.
In a statement, Saipem said the contracts involved the natural gas Perla project in Venezuela, as well as contracts for Sapinhoa Norte and Iracema Sul in Brazil in the Santos Basin pre-salt region.
Saipem, which is controlled by Eni SpA (E), is slated to report first-quarter results Tuesday.
