NEW YORK, Nov. 23  /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) opened trading today on Merrill Lynch STARS Linked to the S&P 500 Index.

Priced at $10.00 per unit with an initial offer size of 5,680,000 units, this equity trades under the ticker symbol SIT and has a maturity date of November 30, 2009.
