Directorate Changes


The board of International Energy Group Limited are pleased to announce the
appointment of Mr Roy A Franklin, Chief Executive of Paladin Resources plc, as
Non-Executive Director of the company with effect from 21st January, 2004.



Mr Paul Fairclough, Chief Executive, is to retire in July 2004, and be succeeded
by Mr Michael R Richards, who is currently the Group Finance Director.  Mrs Dawn
C Morgan will take over in July as Group Finance Director, in addition to her
role as Company Secretary.



Mr Tom Scott, Group Chairman, commented that he very much welcomed the
contribution that Roy Franklin could make to the board, and wished Mike Richards
and Dawn Morgan success in their new roles, and that Paul Fairclough would enjoy
his retirement after more than 33 years service with Group.



There are no further disclosures to be made in relation to Mr Franklin, aged 50,
or Mrs Morgan, aged 39, under paragraph 6.F.2 (a)-(g) of the Listing Rules.
