Il treno entrerà in vigore tra fine 2024 e inizio 2025
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor Plus) - Rho, 03 ott - Fnm e Alstom presentano il treno Coradia Stream alimentato ad idrogeno che segna l'inizio di una nuova era nel trasporto ferroviario passeggeri in Italia. Il treno entrerà in servizio commerciale in Valcamonica tra la fine del 2024 e l'inizio del 2025, lungo la linea non elettrificata Brescia-Iseo-Edolo di FerrovieNord nell'ambito del progetto H2iseO, che mira a realizzare la prima Hydrogen Valley italiana nel territorio bresciano. Il Coradia Stream, alimentato a idrogeno, risponde all'obiettivo europeo di ridurre del 100% le emissioni di C02 entro il 2050 ed è il primo treno a zero emissioni dirette di CO2 per l'Italia dotato di celle a combustibile a idrogeno, con una capacità totale di 260 posti a sedere e un'autonomia superiore a 600 km.
