                        DataCash Group plc ("DataCash")


The Board of DataCash announces that it has allotted a total of 150,000 new
ordinary shares of 1 pence each ("the New Ordinary Shares") pursuant to the
exercise of options over 25,000 shares at a price of 26.58 pence per share under
the DataCash Group plc Employee Share Option scheme and to the exercise of an
Enterprise Management Incentive (EMI) option over 125,000 shares at a price of
23.25 pence per share.  Application has been made for admission to trading on
the Alternative Investment Market of the New Ordinary Shares and it is expected
that such admission will become effective on 13th August 2003.
