Uranium miner Energy Resources of Australia Ltd.(ERA.AU) said Monday it expects to post unaudited net earnings of more than A$120 million for the six months ended June 30.

Its fiscal first half net profit is up more than three times from the A$38.9 million that the Darwin-based company posted in the first half of fiscal 2008.

Last week, ERA, which is 68%-owned by Rio Tinto Ltd. (RTP), reported that it substantially boosted its second-quarter uranium oxide production from a year earlier owing to improved grades and milling rates.
