Adacel’s Commitment to Quality Reaps Dividends

Adacel (ASX:ADA) is proud to announce the successful achievement of Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 certification. This certification was achieved through an external auditor’s Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) and had its results certified by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI). The award of this industry standard certification demonstrates Adacel’s commitment to quality solutions for Air Traffic Management, direct voice input (DVI) control systems and advanced simulation systems.

CMMI is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. Adacel’s certification was focused on six process areas: Requirements Management, Requirements Development, Technical Solution, Product Integration, Verification, and Validation. These mature end-to-end engineering and technical management areas ensure that the software intensive systems developed by Adacel meet the customer's expectations, are developed using industry best practices, and result in quality products that are developed efficiently.

This important achievement follows on the heels of the renewal of Adacel’s ISO 9001:2008 certification originally awarded in December 2005. Through the successful completion of a comprehensive audit earlier this year the Company has retained their ISO certification through to February 2012. The scope of Adacel’s ISO registration extends to the design, development and support of simulators, speech recognition systems, operational air traffic management, and software solutions for civil and military operational and training applications.
