Avis Europe plc completes acquisition of Budget France

Avis Europe plc has obtained court approval to complete the acquisition of
certain assets of Budget France. The purchase price is Euro6 million. This
substantially completes the acquisition of relevant assets of Budget Rent a
Car, including the rights to use the trademark and name, together with the
existing Budget licensee agreements and royalty streams throughout Europe, the
Middle East and Africa.

Regulatory clearances remain outstanding in two smaller countries and, where
mandatory, the relevant country has been excluded. As previously disclosed, the
total acquisition is expected to be marginally earnings dilutive in the first
full year following completion.
