Fourth Quarter 2022 Update

SuperSeed, a company established as a Venture Capital fund of funds for early-stage technology investing, announces portfolio revenue growth results for the fourth quarter ending 31 December 2022.

Investment policy

The Company, a registered closed-ended collective investment scheme invests in technology-led innovation, primarily through SuperSeed II LP (the "Fund"). The Company can also invest in funds managed by other investment managers, or into individual companies, either directly or through special purpose vehicles.

SuperSeed II LP

Despite geopolitical turmoil and a generally difficult macroeconomic backdrop, the SuperSeed II LP portfolio performed strongly in 2022.

Highlights

   --     For Q4, the Fund II portfolio grew Monthly Recurring Revenue by 21%. 
   --     For 2022, Monthly Recurring Revenue was up 200% in the portfolio. 

Full earnings results expected to be released before the end of February.

In 2022, SuperSeed II LP invested in 8 SaaS companies. Investment terms has been agreed on one further rapidly growing SaaS company, with the investment expected to close in Q1 of 2023.

Looking ahead, SuperSeed continues to lean into AI as the main tech driver for change. We expect continued strong revenue growth in the portfolio, with Fund portfolio company revenue expected to more than double in 2023 (on a constant portfolio basis). In addition, the Company expects that the Fund will invest in an additional 5-10 SaaS companies in 2023.
