ENERGY CAPITAL INVESTMENT COMPANY PLC ("ECIC")
Current Position of Company
Further to the Chairman's statement made in the Interim Report in September
2003, the Board of ECIC announces that it is having discussions with potential
liquidators with a view to placing the Company into members' voluntary
liquidation early in the New Year.
Following receipt of a distribution of $9.5 million from MPAC/AROC the Company
is holding approximately #26.5 million in cash.
The Directors are continuing to explore other means than a liquidation for
returning cash to shareholders but, in the absence of a corporate development,
it is anticipated that a circular convening an Extraordinary General Meeting to
place the Company into liquidation will be sent to shareholders prior to the end
of January 2004.
