The Company has today been notified pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act
1985 that LMS Capital (Bermuda) Limited has purchased from Westpool Investment
Trust a total of 7,754,030 Ordinary shares of 5p each. Following this purchase
LMS Capital (Bermuda) Limited now has an interest in 57,754,030 Ordinary shares
of 5p each representing 18.86% of the Company's issued share capital.



Westpool Investment Trust plc and LMS Capital (Bermuda) Limited are wholly owned
subsidiaries of London Merchant Securities plc the ultimate beneficial owner
who's holding remains unchanged.
