Azteca America Pushes into the Top 15 Hispanic Shows of the Week
With 1.34 Million Viewers 2+ for the Tecos vs America Soccer Final, Surpassing
Any Program for the Week From Telemundo or Telefutura
La Academia Sunday Concert Also Breaks the Top 25 List For First Time in
History
NEW YORK, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America, THE place for FLM Mexican
League Soccer, announces a historic first for our young network as the May 26
final of FLM Mexican League Soccer attracted 1.34 million viewers 2+. The
results place the championship match at number 13 of the weekly most- watched
Hispanic programs, according to NHTI.
"We are proud to say that this marks the third consecutive week of having at
least one program in the Top 25 Primetime Hispanic programs, according to
Nielsen," said COO Jorge Jaidar. "And looking beyond soccer, our Sunday concert
of La Academia also broke into the list with over 600,000 viewers 2+."
Starting with the May 12 quarter final between Santos and Club America, Azteca
America attracted 630,000 2+ viewers. The successive semifinals attracted
800,000 viewers for the May 18 Tecos vs Monarcas Morelia semifinal and 807,000
for the May 21 return match. On Sunday May 22, the Cruz Azul vs America
semifinal attracted 1.1 million 2+ viewers.
