Tompkins Financial Corp. Promotes Susan Valenti to Executive Vice President

Susan Valenti has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Corporate Marketing for Tompkins Financial Corporation. In this position Ms Valenti manages marketing, public relations, internal communications and commercial deposit sales and service for Tompkins Financial’s four banks, plus Tompkins Insurance Agencies and Tompkins Financial Advisors.

Ms. Valenti joined the Tompkins organization as senior vice president in March 2012. She has been in the banking industry for more than 30 years. Prior to joining Tompkins Financial she worked at JPMorgan Chase. Ms. Valenti has an MBA from the Simon School, University of Rochester and a BS from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.

Ms. Valenti is a member of the New York Bankers Association and the Financial Communications Society. She is also active in community organizations, serving on the Ad Council, the Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way, and Go Red Luncheon Committee for the American Heart Association. She and her husband, Jim, reside in Pittsford, NY, where Tompkins Bank of Castile recently opened a new office.
