Czech generic drug maker Zentiva NV (BAAZEN.PR) Tuesday said that units of PPF Group NV and Generali PPF Holding NV have fully withdrawn their recent court petition against Zentiva.
This comment followed PPF making the same statement Monday after Zentiva held an extraordinary general meeting and addressed issues raised by PPF regarding Sanofi-Aventis SA's (2057.FR) EUR1.8 billion takeover offer for Zentiva.
"Zentiva is pleased that PPF found the extraordinary general meeting helpful in addressing their concerns," Zentiva said.
The Board of Zentiva continues to recommend unanimously Zentiva's shareholders to accept the CZK 1,150 a share offer by Sanofi-Aventis Europe, and the offer expires Feb. 20, the company said.
PPF, with its partners, holds a 24.3% stake in Zentiva, while Sanofi has a 24.9% stake.
