Item 8.01         Other Events

On February 23, 2021, Protalix BioTherapeutics, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Company”), issued a press release, together with its development and commercialization partner, Chiesi Global Rare Diseases, a unit of Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.A., announcing positive topline results from the BRIGHT Phase III clinical trial evaluating pegunigalsidase alfa (PRX-102), 2 mg/kg, administered every four weeks, for the potential treatment of Fabry disease. PRX-102 is the Company’s plant cell-expressed recombinant, PEGylated, cross-linked α-galactosidase-A product candidate. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
