ION Media Networks, Inc. (AMEX:ION) announced today that Eleo Hensleigh
has been named Chief Marketing Officer. In this position, which will be
based in New York, Ms. Hensleigh will develop, manage and
implement all marketing and branding activities across the Company in
support of its network and digital multiplatform portfolio.

experience with television brands in all stages of development will be a
tremendous resource, as we grow ION Media’s

In her role, which reports to Burgess, Ms. Hensleigh will lead all
consumer-facing and business-to-business branding and marketing
activities company-wide. She is also charged with leading the expansion
of the Company’s research organization,
providing qualitative and quantitative audience, consumer, sales and
media planning insights for all divisions.

Ms. Hensleigh comes to ION from Disney-ABC, where, over her tenure, she
oversaw the marketing and branding functions of both the Television and
Cable Groups. At the TV Group, she served as Chief Marketing Officer &
Executive Vice President, Marketing & Brand Strategy, and was involved
in the marketing, advertising, research, media planning, synergy,
creative services and promotion divisions for the Group, which includes
the ABC Television Network (encompassing ABC Daytime, ABC News, ABC
Entertainment and ABC Affiliate Marketing), Disney Channel Worldwide,
Toon Disney, ABC Family and SOAPnet.
Prior to that, Ms. Hensleigh served as Executive Vice President,
Worldwide Brand Strategy for Disney-ABC Cable Networks Group, where she
was responsible for developing and managing the brand strategy for each
of the Company’s domestic and international
cable channels, plus the Saturday morning ABC Television Network
daypart, ABC Kids. She joined Disney Channel in 1996 as Senior Vice
President, Marketing. Previously, she was Creative Director and Senior
Vice President, Marketing and Promotions for FX Networks, and also
served as Vice President and Creative Director, on-air promotion at
Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite.
Among her many credentials and achievements, Ms. Hensleigh served as a
member of the Lifetime Entertainment Networks Television Board of
Directors. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for
Promax/BDA. In 1998, she was inducted into the American Advertising
Federation Hall of Achievement. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University.
