Internap Network Services Corporation (AMEX:IIP), a
leading provider of performance-based routing solutions over the
Internet, today announced it will triple service capacity of its
Performance IP(TM) service to Trumba, creator of Trumba Calendar, a
dynamic website calendaring tool that helps companies promote and
share event information and connect with their customers. Internap
improves the performance and availability of Trumba's unique
application which helps businesses and their customers interact with
the calendar in ways that have not been previously possible with
traditional website calendars. Trumba joins a list of emerging
businesses leveraging Internap(R) Performance IP services to manage
and optimize rapidly growing traffic volume.
Website calendaring is emerging as a powerful new media
application that allows organizations to maximize their investment in
promoting events and more effectively communicate with their
customers.
A wide range of organizations, from non-profits and small
businesses to industry associations and large enterprises rely on
Trumba to bring the event and calendar section of their site to life
with minimal IT resources. The Trumba calendar, which synchronizes
with other mainstream calendar applications such as Microsoft Outlook,
MSN Calendar and Yahoo! Calendar, offers increased flexibility for
geographically dispersed organizations through quick and easy access,
personalized communications, and real-time content updated without the
need for a technical expert. Trumba calendar users and subscribers can
directly add events to personal calendars, forward event information
to friends, set up reminders by email and SMS messaging, subscribe to
calendars, receive RSS feeds, or RSVP for events, for instance.
"Internap's 100% uptime guarantee and robust colocation services
are critical to the availability, reliability and performance of
Trumba's calendaring service," said Jerry Rinaldi, web operations
manager, Trumba. "Users and subscribers benefit from rapid page
delivery and are routed to our site through the fastest Internet
connection available, regardless of their geographic location. This
drives continued adoption and encourages them to use the service more
often, both of which have a direct impact on our revenues."
"At Internap we recognize that start-ups delivering new generation
media applications require the highest level of performance for their
growing IP needs," said David Abrahamson, vice president of sales,
Internap. "Trumba's ability to offer predictable, optimized and timely
online content delivery count among the many benefits provided by our
world-class Performance IP service."
