BOSTON, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- At a joint Special Meeting of Shareholders held Friday, January 29, 2010, shareholders of the Eaton Vance closed-end funds listed below (the "Funds") approved a modification to each Fund's 80 percent policy to eliminate the requirement to invest primarily in insured municipal obligations. Also, effective today, the Funds are required, under normal market conditions, to invest at least 80 percent of net assets in municipal obligations rated A or better by Moody's, S&P or Fitch and each Fund is eliminating "Insured" from its name. For purposes of the Funds' 80 percent requirement, the rating of insured obligations is deemed to be the higher of the claims-paying rating of the insurer and the rating of the underlying issue.
