The Company was informed on 3 June 2003 that following the Company's recent
placing and acquisition, The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc has an interest in
26,058,063 ordinary shares in the Company which represents 8.36% of the
Company's issued share capital. These shares are registered in the name of
National Westminster Bank plc.

The Company was informed on 4 June 2003 that Elderstreet Capital Partners
Nominees Limited, which holds the shares on behalf of 8 limited partnerships
collectively known as Elderstreet Capital Partners, has an interest in
73,763,742 ordinary shares of 1p which represents 23.66% of the Company's isued
share capital. Of these shares, Elderstreet Capital Partners Limited Partnership
is benficially interested in 61,289,686.15 ordinary shares which represents
19.66% of the Company's issued share capital.

The Company was also informed on 4 June 2003 that Elderstreet Downing VCT plc
has an interest in 32,230,252 ordinary shares representing 10.34% of the
Company's issued share capital.
