DMF Announces Portfolio Manager Changes

On July 20, 2016, at a meeting of the Board of Directors of Dreyfus Municipal Income, Inc. (NYSE MKT: DMF), the Board approved the appointment of Daniel Rabasco as co-primary portfolio manager for the Fund. Mr. Rabasco will co-manage DMF with Jeffrey B. Burger, who has served as a co-primary portfolio manager of the Fund since 2014. The Dreyfus Corporation ("Dreyfus") is the Fund’s investment adviser.

Mr. Rabasco, CFA, is the Chief Investment Officer for Tax Sensitive Fixed Income at Standish Mellon Asset Management Company, LLC ("Standish"), an affiliate of Dreyfus. Prior to being named CIO, he was Head of Trading for Tax Exempt Bonds, responsible for managing the municipal bond trading desk. Mr. Rabasco joined Standish in 1998 from Fleet Investment Advisors. At Fleet he directed the municipal bond group which managed mutual fund, common trust fund and high net worth client assets. He was also vice president and portfolio manager at Evergreen Investments where he managed national and state specific mutual funds. Mr. Rabasco began his career in municipal bonds in 1987 at Liberty Insurance Company as an analyst. He has an M.B.A. from Suffolk University and a B.A. from Boston College. He has served as a member of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board's Investor Advisory Group (2004-2008), holds the CFA® designation and has 29 years of investment experience.

Mr. Burger, CFA, is a Senior Portfolio Manager for Tax Sensitive Strategies at Standish. He manages tax-sensitive strategies for institutional, high net worth and mutual fund clients. Previously, he served as a Senior Analyst for Standish, specializing in land secured and special tax bonds. Prior to joining Standish in 2009, Mr. Burger worked at Columbia Management as a portfolio manager and senior research analyst and previously held a senior level analyst position at Fitch Ratings. He earned an M.P.A. from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and a B.A. degree, cum laude, in policy studies and public relations from Syracuse University. He is a former Chairman, member of the Executive Committee, and Board of Governors of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and is a former president of the Boston Municipal Analysts Forum. Mr. Burger holds the CFA® designation and has 18 years of investment experience.
