First U.S.-Listed Fund to Follow the Global Timber Industry
NEW YORK, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) today announced that it has launched trading in the Claymore/Clear Global Timber Index ETF (AMEX:CUT) by Claymore Securities, Inc. (Claymore). This brings the total number of ETFs listed on the Amex to 373.
"We are pleased to be supporting Claymore as they continue to expand their family of ETFs and provide the investing community with new ways to diversify their portfolios," said Scott Ebner, Senior Vice President of the Amex ETF Marketplace. "CUT is the first U.S.-listed ETF to provide investors access to companies involved in the global timber business."
CUT aims to track an equity index called the Clear Global Timber Index. All stocks in the Index are selected from the universe of global timber companies. Clear Indexes LLC defines global timber companies as firms who own or lease forested land and harvest the timber from such forested land for commercial use and sale of wood-based products, including lumber, pulp or other processed or finished goods, as their primary business.
Kellogg Capital Group, LLC is the specialist for CUT.
