FARMINGDALE, N.Y., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cemtrex Inc. (OTC:CTEX) announced that it has received an order for its mercury emission monitoring system to be installed on a ferrous metal furnace stack in New Jersey. The system will be complete with analyzer, probes, sample lines, and software needed for a real-time automatic operation.
On March 15, 2005, the EPA issued its ruling to reduce mercury emissions through a cap-and-trade system that allows emitters to buy and sell mercury emission on a national level. The rule calls for a cap of mercury emissions at 38 tons per year by 2010 - down from 48 tons at present. As a result of this ruling power plants and other industrial boilers and furnaces must first monitor their emissions and then decide either to reduce their emissions through trading or through purchase of mercury reduction equipment.
"We are seeing an increased level of inquiries for our mercury monitoring system," said Aron Govil, President and CEO of Cemtrex, "and expect this product line to be an important part of our future growth."
Cemtrex is engaged in manufacturing and selling the most advanced and custom engineered equipment and systems for clean energy and emission monitoring markets. The Company's products are sold to power plants, refineries, chemical plants, cement plants and other industries including federal and state governmental agencies.
