                                  Chorion PLC

       Result of EGM and Application for Admission of New Ordinary Shares

Chorion PLC (the "Company") announces that at the extraordinary general meeting
of the Company held at 10.30 am today ("EGM"), the resolution to consolidate the
Company's share capital was passed.

The Company also announces that it has applied for admission to trading on the
Alternative Investment Market ("Admission") of 17,250,764 ordinary shares of 30
pence each, which comprise all of the issued ordinary share capital of the
Company arising following the consolidation of the Company's ordinary share
capital as a result of the EGM.  Admission is expected to occur on Monday 27
October 2003.
