British Airways PLC (BAY.LN), the flag carrier airline of U.K., said Tuesday it anticipates trading in its ordinary shares to be suspended with effect from 0730 GMT on Jan. 21 due to the company's merger with Iberia.

MAIN FACTS:

-International Consolidated Airlines Group, S.A., or IAG, shares will be admitted to the Official List by the UKLA and to trading by the London Stock Exchange and the Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Valencia stock exchanges with effect from 0800 GMT on Jan. 24.

-Shares of British Airways at 1112 GMT up 2.10 pence or 0.71% at 299.90 pence.
