Posted at 28/8/2009 07:49 by gac100 ... the deal is now done39p per share. Sweet. Board and institutional holders recommending shareholders accept. |
Posted at 27/8/2009 22:03 by gac100 I posted on TMF this morning about the discount with CCGP trading at 28p- New fool username for me since my post there in June - But that's by the by - I just want to point out to you guys here that an advertisment has appeared on Housing 21's website in the last week: they are recruiting two NEDs "We're looking for two non-executive directors with property, social/healthcare, investment or City finance experience and a sound commercial background. These are key roles in shaping our strategies and the organisation's future direction ..." I don't know about anyone else, but it reads to me like Housing 21 are already preparing for a bigger and brighter future ... could mean the deal is all but done. |
Posted at 27/8/2009 15:37 by aishah Assume all clear with the bid now? Price seems to indicate so. here's hoping |
Posted at 27/8/2009 11:36 by markspeed I wrote these off in my head when they hit single figures, so I don't think I have anything to lose by hanging on until next week. Just look at the way the MM is manipulating the price - up over 5% today - on, er, precisely NO volume! Charles Stanley seem to be happy to buy in at the moment, and that's good enough for me. |
Posted at 27/8/2009 07:19 by joe say Must say that I've been too nervous to add given this weeks share price movements.Q: Should the current bid not go ahead, would it not be reasonable to assume one of the other parties would return to the table, albeit at a reduced price - if so then what would be the best guestimate of this 2nd place price ? |

Posted at 07/8/2009 13:35 by mister md rather than sell, bought some more at 31p... sharp discount to probable offer price and also due to recent results rns"the Group has taken soundings from a number of trade parties and potential private equity buyers, which indicate that there is an appetite to purchase the whole Group. The review process has continued and the Board has to date received a number of indicative conditional proposals to make an offer for the entire issued share capital of the Company. This may or may not lead to such an offer being made. The Board will inform shareholders of further progress when appropriate. " |
Posted at 10/7/2009 15:07 by the big fella DibbsIt is only a reaction to a drip of small sales and prevailing market sentiment. The share price was actually marked up following the announcement and there was a purchase of 200k. I admit there were plenty of questions raised in the recent statement, and the future would be uncertain if no sale of all or part of the business prevails. A difficult one to call. |
Posted at 10/7/2009 14:55 by dibbs The offer is massively down in recent days though. The market does not seem to think that they will be taken out and is valuing CCGP accordingly. Dibbs |
