looks as though they're managing the property cycle well, with plenty of cash on hand now and not thus far tempted into purchases, which was the right approach.

Results out shortly for CDFF may show further progress, don’t think their sub campmoss is geared any more, far from it after the £15mm sale of one residential health/retirement property, they are cash rich. TopVest mentioned the interesting 5th listed cash shell launched below, 4 years ago now, which subsequently reversed into Aquila 2 years ago, themselves merger of Altair/Murja and since two more investments in growing AssetCore and 3C. CDFF have an investment in Aquila, CEO also has shares in both, they shared an auditor until last month, I wonder why the amicable seperation, but handy should a potential future conflict be avoided. Aqsg also report shortly and may show further progress across their expanding business - minimal chat on this share despite >2,000% shareprice increase in 30 years since he took over, even less chat on Aquila - zero posts, looks quite interesting to me - NIA and DYOR - GL to the handful of PI’s in this one or the other...

boring can be good

One post since 2012, none since 2014 sounds boring to me.

Interesting development

I suspect that Cardiff Property own a few of these as well. Unusual for a main market listing.

Yes, it's a JV isn't it? Still low leverage even if you add this in though!

Added a few here. Good discount and a well managed company. Directors have also launched a few shells in the past and have a very good record. Directors are also approaching retirement age and so an exit has to be on the cards at some point, albeit could be 5-10 years off. In the meantime, there is a circa 2% yield and a circa. 40% discount and no leverage in the company.
It's a bit illiquid though - only bought a few and the price jumps significantly!

...Encouragingly, the firm has seen an increase in enquiry levels for both office and residential property during the last few months. Although the firm does not expect a sustained recovery to take place for some time, it has a number of pipeline projects which should help add value for investors as the market improves...

The company can't say anything because it's in the closed period. I think the results are out at the end of November or early December. Is there a sniff of something afoot?

Why the surge in the price... is the company going private or to be sold?...

They've probably got hold of next door neighbours deeds.......the neighnours have put tenants in.....and they will probably split the sale with tenants!!

No thread for this stock so I thought I'd start one.

This company trades well below NAV of over £8.

The company today bought back 295K shares, nearly 15.7% from Fidelity, for cancellation.

This is going to boost the NAV further and the EPS nicely.

It leaves Wollenberg, Chairman and CE with 28% - he picked up 20K today too @ 665p, well over the 640p they were trading at at the open.

They seemed to have talked the performance down lately but don't mind buying the shares at a premium.

MBO?

One to watch perhaps.
