Returned goods impact badly on Boohoo’s cash flow, generates financial losses and involves a lot of wasted time and wasted manpower putting items back into the warehouse. With the current cost of living crisis hitting many cash strapped households hard, the “wear it once and send it back for a refund” brigade are returning more unwanted clothing back to Boohoo PLC for a refund. Even the introduction of Boohoo’s £1.99 returns fee has not deterred many Boohoo customers from sending back, worn once clothing for a refund.
