Company Matches Employee Contributions Dollar-for-Dollar to American Red Cross and Provides Other Assistance to Victims of Hurricane Katrina RESTON, Va., Sept. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XO Communications, Inc. (OTC:XOCM.OB) (BULLETIN BOARD: XOCM.OB) and its employees are donating a total of $140,000 to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts in the communities affected by Hurricane Katrina. XO has also provided the American Red Cross with 2,000 free long distance calling cards to distribute to people affected by the disaster. Immediately following the disaster of Hurricane Katrina along the gulf coast, XO announced to its employees that it would match donations to the American Red Cross dollar-for-dollar from employees. Over a two-week period, XO employees donated more than $70,000 to the American Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund.
