(WHIS) joins forces with UC Berkley's CalSol team to compete in the 2005 North American Solar Challenge, being sponsored by the US Dept of Energy LAS VEGAS, NV and BERKLEY, CA, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Whistler Investments, Inc. Whistler's development team will be working closely with UC Berkeley on the sophisticated CalSol Project. CALSOL is a completely student run solar car project headed by America's highest ranked University - UC Berkeley. The 2005 North American Solar Challenge is one of the most prominent events of its type and features the top engineering minds in the country competing in a cross-country marathon. In July 2005, teams will begin racing their solar-powered cars north from Austin, TX. After months of design, building, and testing these cars, the students will be ready for the racing challenge.
