AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- On the heels of another record sales month for The New Chrysler's Certified Pre-owned Vehicle (CPOV) brand; the company today announced its expanded partnership with leading online used-vehicle search engines. Effective immediately, all Chrysler, Jeep(R) and Dodge CPO vehicles in The New Chrysler's franchised dealer inventory across the U.S., are listed and identified as "Brand Spankin' Used(R)" on AutoTrader.com, Cars.com, AutoExtra.com and AutoMart.com. Chrysler has made marketing its CPO vehicles on the internet a priority since the program launched in 2002. Chrysler has maintained an aggressive CPOV advertising presence by utilizing Banner and Skyscraper advertising creative. These advertisements promote the consumer benefits and features of Chrysler's CPO vehicles with colorful advertising that alternates flashing messages every few seconds. Additionally, Chrysler has co-funded its dealers' costs for posting CPO vehicles on the internet with various Dealer CPOV Co-op Advertising Programs over the past five years. According to Chrysler executives, these new CPOV internet marketing agreements will result in more than 20,000 Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge CPO vehicles being listed daily on these major independent, online used-vehicle search engines. "Previously, approximately 800 of our dealers posted their CPO vehicles on at least one of the major search-engine internet Web sites. Of that group, select dealers posted on more than one site which totaled about 10,000 CPO vehicles to search," said D.P. (Bud) Place, Senior Manager -- Used Vehicles Sales & Marketing. "This latest action ensures that every one of our dealers is able to have each of their CPO vehicles listed in real time each day," Place said. "This has more than doubled the number of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge certified pre- owned vehicles that are available via online listings to used-vehicle shoppers in the U.S." About the Certified Pre-owned Vehicle (CPOV) Program The New Chrysler's Brand Spankin' Used CPOV program features a stringent 125 point condition standard that includes independent qualification through Carfax(C), a major vehicle history report provider, which includes a buyback guarantee. Chrysler's dealers are also independently audited by Impartial Services Group, based in Dallas, Texas, to ensure compliance to The New Chrysler's CPOV condition standards. All Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge CPO vehicles are backed by an eight year/80,000 mile limited power train warranty, full roadside assistance and a rental car allowance of $35 per day should the vehicle require overnight service at a Chrysler dealership. Additionally, all Chrysler CPO vehicles come with a comprehensive 3 month/3,000 mile Maximum Care(R) limited warranty.
