NEW YORK, Feb. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- At a Special Meeting of Stockholders of Alliance National Municipal Income Fund, Inc. ("Alliance National Municipal" - NYSE: AFB) held today, stockholders approved the issuance of additional common stock of Alliance National Municipal in connection with the proposed acquisition of the assets and the assumption of the liabilities of ACM Municipal Securities Income Fund, Inc. ("ACM Municipal Securities" - NYSE: AMU) by Alliance National Municipal (the "Acquisition"). The Acquisition has not yet been approved. The Acquisition is contingent upon receiving the requisite approval of ACM Municipal Securities' stockholders. The Special Meeting of Stockholders of ACM Municipal Securities scheduled for February 22, 2007 has been adjourned with respect to the preferred stockholders voting as a separate class because additional time for the solicitation of proxies is needed.
