GREER, S.C., Oct. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ryan's Restaurant Group, Inc. ("Ryan's") today reported that on September 28, 2006, it reached an agreement in principle and subject to court approval for the settlement of the putative shareholder class action that was filed on July 28, 2006 in connection with the anticipated merger between Ryan's and Buffets, Inc. As part of the agreement, Ryan's provided certain additional information about the merger in a Current Report on Form 8-K that was filed on September 29, 2006.
