Radyne ComStream Announces $1.2 Million Satellite Modem Contract
PHOENIX, Nov. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Radyne ComStream (Nasdaq: RADN;
Warrants: RADNW) today announced a $1.2 million Award from a major trading
company of The Peoples Republic of China. The award is for the supply of
Radyne's newest satellite modem, the DMD20, which provides the widest range of
possible configurations available in the world. Delivery will be completed
during this year.
Radyne ComStream's DMD20 is the latest satellite modem in a long line of
successful modems installed in over 100 countries throughout the world. "This
is the largest contract to date for Radyne ComStream's DMD20 new modem system in
China. The DMD20, being selected by this customer over other competing
solutions, validates our approach to developing the most universal modem that
will meet all user requirements in a single box," said Bob Fitting, CEO. "This
is the fourth modem contract awarded to us by this customer's end user and I
believe it shows the large potential for future business with our latest
product. We are well positioned with our DMD20 to address the growing Asian
satellite markets."
"We feel the Radyne ComStream product line is ideally suited for our satellite
