Professor Attilio Scienza, the
internationally renowned wine scientist, celebrates the 200th
edition of his popular podcast series, Everybody Needs a Bit of
Scienza, in which he answers wide-ranging questions from the
international wine community. The first edition of the show was
broadcast on 10 April 2020. Since
then, the Professor has answered more than 200 questions on
everything from grape DNA and biology to the impact of climate
change and the wine-making legacy of the Roman Empire. The 200th
episode of the show will be broadcast on 24
May 2024.

career at the University of Milan
and is a much sought-after oenological consultant, as well as a
prolific author and public speaker. He is president of Italy's influential National Wine Committee
and Chief Scientist of Vinitaly International Academy, the gold
standard of Italian wine education. A regular fixture at the top of
the Wine Power List, Professor Scienza is a polymath and gifted
communicator whose expertise spans genetics, geography and geology,
as well as history, anthropology and classical mythology.
