Plymouth Rubber Company, Inc. Notified of Non-Compliance with Listing Standards
by the American Stock Exchange
CANTON, Mass., Dec. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Plymouth Rubber Company, Inc.
(the "Company" -- Amex: PLR.A - News, PLR.B - News) announced today that it
received notification from the American Stock Exchange ("AMEX") that the
Company's Class A Common Stock and Class B Common Stock are each subject to
delisting for having aggregate publicly held market values of less than
$1,000,000 for more than 90 consecutive days. In order for the Company to
maintain the listings of its Common Stock, it must submit a plan, subject to
acceptance by AMEX, by January 26, 2004 advising the AMEX of actions to bring it
into compliance with continued listing standards by March 10, 2004. The Company
is considering the feasibility of such a plan of compliance and expects to
advise AMEX in a timely fashion whether it will submit a compliance plan or
pursue alternatives to continued AMEX listing.
As previously announced, the AMEX had accepted a plan submitted by the Company
in June, 2003, to regain compliance by November 2004 with listing standards
related to minimum shareholder equity and losses in prior fiscal years.
Plymouth Rubber Company, Inc. manufactures and distributes plastic and rubber
products, including automotive tapes, insulating tapes, and other industrial
tapes and films. The Company's tape products are used by the electrical supply
industry, electric utilities, and automotive and other original equipment
manufacturers. Through its Brite-Line Technologies subsidiary, Plymouth
manufactures and supplies highway marking products.
