PRISMIQ MediaPlayer
SAN MATEO, Calif., Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- PRISMIQ, Inc.
(http://www.prismiq.com/), a leader in networked entertainment devices and
software, today announced it has received the CES Innovations award from the
Consumer Electronics Association for its new product, the PRISMIQ
MediaPlayer/Recorder (MP/R).
The PRISMIQ MP/R is the next generation in entertainment gateways -- a diskless
digital video recorder (DVR), a full-featured digital media hub for playback of
personal media stored on home PCs, and an IP set-top box.
"We are very proud to win the CES Innovations award for our new product," said
Brad Kayton, VP of Marketing and Business Development for PRISMIQ. "We won
every major award in home media networking last year, and this is a great start
to what we hope will be another year of public recognitions for PRISMIQ
products."
The complete PRISMIQ MediaPlayer/Recorder product package consists of a compact
set-top unit, a hand-held remote control, a CD with software that converts the
PC to a media server, cables, and documentation. The product will sell for
$299.95 and be available in early Q2 2004 through retail and e-commerce
channels. There are no monthly service fees associated with the product.
The company will debut the PRISMIQ MP/R at the 2004 International Consumer
Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, January 8-11. PRISMIQ will be located in
the TechHome TechZone in booth #17695 in South Hall 2 of the Las Vegas
Convention Center.
