(NASDAQ:HSTX), a leading provider of wireless solutions that enable the evolution of next-generation fixed and mobile broadband networks, today announced that its NetBoss XT® resource management solution is managing the newly-deployed 3G mobile network of Melita Plc, a leading provider of telephony, mobile, Internet and television services across Malta and Gozo. As part of its 3G network buildout, Melita also installed Harris Stratex Eclipse(TM) radios for IP connectivity. Melita selected NetBoss XT and Eclipse technologies to assure optimal quality of service for customers as services are deployed and coverage is extended in its new 3G network. The project, valued in excess of $1 million (USD), enables Melita to deliver the highest levels of service quality to more than 100,000 homes and businesses across Malta. NetBoss XT was chosen for this network management project based on its low cost of ownership, including installation and maintenance, and extensive automation features. The Eclipse 10 Megabit/second radios were selected because Eclipse provides the very high reliability and flexibility required in a state-of-the-art network that relies on IP-based services.
