SEATTLE, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- L & L Energy, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: LLEN) ("L&L") (formerly L & L International Holdings, Inc.) a U.S.-based coal operator serving China's energy market, today announced that Mr. Edward L. Dowd, Jr. becomes an Independent Board Member, together with two other executives, joins in L&L. Mr. Dowd, an experienced lawyer and a partner with Dowd Bennett LLP, served as a former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri from 1993 to 1999, in charge of civil and criminal cases for the U.S. government. Ed received his JD from St. Mary's University in 1977 and holds a BA in Government from Saint Louis University. Dickson Lee, Chairman of L&L stated: "Adding Mr. Dowd to our Board will prove invaluable guidance helping L&L to become a leading energy player in China. Ed's appointment is effective January 12, 2010." Mr. Ning-Hua Liu becomes Chief Engineer for L&L China operations. Mr. Liu was Chief Engineer for Kunming Coke & Gas Company, a large China state owned enterprise. He graduated from Wu Han University of Science & Technology with an Engineering Degree and has 30 years experience in coking and coal washing. Mr. Liu will station in China. In addition, Mr. Jeremy Goodwin joined L&L's Advisory Board. Mr. Goodwin received his BS from Cornell University with graduate studies at Princeton and Johns Hopkins. He is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of 3G Capital Partners, and is a Board Member of two other publicly traded companies. Fluent in Mandarin, he previously worked for ABN Amro, and ING Barings.
