PITTSBURGH, May 14, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- "I live in Montana, where it is often windy with strong gusts. I was told that wind turbines often break down to the point where installers are reluctant to sell them. I needed an improved vertical axis wind turbine," said an inventor, from Emigrant, Mont., "so I invented the WIND ENERGY turbine. My design offers a way to capture the wind energy striking a structure. The structure encloses the rotating mechanism for added protection, ease of maintenance, and to increase the performance in both low and high wind conditions."

The patent-pending invention provides an improved design for a wind turbine generator. In doing so, it helps reduce wind turbine problems associated with strong gusts and extreme wind speeds. It also would not be dangerous to birds or animals. The invention features an innovative design that is easy to service so it is ideal for farms, residential home, and commercial buildings that utilize wind turbines. It offers an alternative to solar panels but can also be combined with solar panels because the panels can be mounted on the south side of the structure.

The inventor is in the process of building what he calls the Wind Energy Garage which would contain a generator and battery with sufficient capacity to charge a plug-in hybrid vehicle. He hopes garages like this will ease the burden on the electric grid as more people buy electric vehicles.
The original design was submitted to the National sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
