HAMDEN, Conn., May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Host America Corporation (Pink Sheets: CAFE.PK) today announced that it has established a distribution network to support the sales and marketing of EnerLume-EM(TM) light controllers. EnerLume-EM(TM) is a patent pending product that uses technology to manage incoming power to fluorescent lighting systems in stores, warehouses and similar facilities, reducing electricity use by up to 15% without reducing perceived luminosity. The program establishes three tiers of distribution for the patent- pending, EnerLume-EM(TM) digital fluorescent light energy manager - a Master Channel Partner and a Direct Channel Partner who will have a direct relationship with the company and a Channel Partner who will deal directly with a Master Channel Partner. Power Reduction Services LLC of Hamden has been signed as a Master Channel Partner for the distribution network, and will deal directly with Host America while developing and managing relationships with Channel Partners. Master Channel Partners are required to maintain an inventory of 150 EnerLume-EM(TM) units for sales to their customers and Channel Partners, and support the Channel Partners who provide distribution, installation and consultant services to customers. Four Direct Channel Partners have joined the network enabling them to deal directly with Host America during a six month period in which they will determine whether they want to move to Master Channel Partner status or Channel Partner status. Six organizations have already signed on to become Channel Partners. "EnerLume-EM is an energy conservation product that has come out at the right time. It provides McBride Electric with the opportunity to reduce our clients' cost of electricity and help them qualify for tax incentives and accelerated depreciation under the Energy Policy Act of 2005," said David DiLoreto, president and chief operating officer of McBride Electric (http://www.mcbrideelectric.com/), a recently signed Direct Channel Partner and a national electrical contracting firm headquartered in San Diego, CA. with a network of 14 company owned branch offices across 12 cities employing over 340 full-time technicians. "We are excited to be part of the EnerLume-EM(TM) revolution in energy conservation." EnerLume-EM(TM) uses technology to manage incoming power so that the ballasts for fluorescent lights draw energy from the electric wave only when power transmission is most efficient. This allows perceived light levels to be maintained while reducing electricity use by up to 15%. Additional energy savings can be achieved by using EnerLume-EM(TM) to dim or selectively curtail lights during after hour periods. Host America has launched a customer-oriented website - http://www.enerlume.com/ - with information about the products and case studies of product applications, among other topics. A complete listing of the newly appointed EnerLume-EM(TM) distributors and their contact points are also available on the website.
