SCHIPHOL, Netherlands, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Elephant Talk Communications, Inc. (OTC:ETAK) (BULLETIN BOARD: ETAK) , announced that it has signed a Heads of Agreement contract with ThuisConnect. ThuisConnect will become a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in the Netherlands. As an MVNO, ThuisConnect expects to launch its product at the end of the first quarter/spring of 2009. Further rollout in Europe is planned in the third quarter of 2009; starting in Spain, France and Belgium. ThuisConnect will introduce its "Telco to Home, Health Care Support" using Elephant Talk's fully integrated mobile virtual network enabler (MVNE) platform. All subscribers will be connected to ThuisConnect's platform with full medical backup and control, with monitoring for diabetes, thrombosis, heart failure and COPD patients through a mobile device and/or a DSL/fiber connection. Mobile subscriptions are forecast to reach 70,000 by the end of 2010 and 110,000 by the end of 2011. "According to our view on the Dutch Telecommunications market, only two parties were attractive candidates," said Sytse Boonstra, CEO of ThuisConnect.
