The Board of The Market Age plc ("the Company") has been notified today of the
following transaction that took place on 7 January 2004.

PPM (Ventures) Limited transferred for nominal consideration 3,537,736 Ordinary
Shares to S A Smith acting as agent for the holders of the Company's loan notes,
for certain creditors and employees, including directors.


The Directors' beneficial interests in the shares transferred are as follows:
