                               Board Appointment



Cobra Biomanufacturing Plc, the international manufacturer of
biopharmaceuticals, today announces the appointment of Michael Gatenby to the
Board as a non-executive director.



Michael graduated with Honours in Law from Cambridge. He is a chartered
accountant and was a director of Hill Samuel and Co and Vice Chairman of
Charterhouse Bank. He is currently a director of Johnson Service Group Plc,
Porvair Plc, SRS Technology Group Plc and Protherics Plc and he is also a
Trustee/Director of the Stroke Association.



Michael Gatenby has been a Director of the following companies within the last
five years:

1980    Bridport plc (resigned 1999 following takeover)

1996    SGB Group plc (resigned 2000 following takeover)

1997    Powell Duffryn plc - Vice-Chairman (resigned following takeover 2000)

1999    Tarmac plc (resigned 2000 following takeover)



There are no further matters to be disclosed in accordance with paragraph 'f' of
schedule 2 of the AIM rules.
