TOLEDO, Ohio, April 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dana Corporation announced today that it will feature a range of advanced fuel-cell technologies and capabilities at the Hannover Fair 2006, April 24-28, in Hannover, Germany. The stand will be located in Hall 13, Booth E84/3, in an area specifically dedicated to fuel cells. (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/19990903/DANA) Dana Chairman and CEO Michael J. Burns said, "Dana is supporting fuel-cell development programs for a wide range of customers in the residential, commercial, portable power, and transportation industries. Through our development agreements and strategic partnerships, we're participating in the efforts that will lay the foundation for the mass production of fuel cells in the future." The Dana display at the Hannover Fair will demonstrate new developments in bipolar plates, seals, and end caps for fuel-cell stacks. Dana has developed a proprietary, cost-effective manufacturing process to produce joined bipolar plate assemblies in either stainless steel or molded carbon materials with integrated seals and connectors. Dana believes this process is the first of its kind for mass-producing fuel-cell components, and it overcomes a major hurdle on the road to commercialization. Also on display will be products for the fuel-cell balance of plant, such as heat exchangers and condensers; electric pumps; control valves; and reformer-based fuel-processor components. "Few suppliers have the technical depth and resources to develop bipolar plates as well as an established manufacturing system to back it up," said Heinz-Ubbo Eilks, president of Dana's Thermal Products Group. "Dana has the expertise to bring together the enabling solutions needed to make this environmentally friendly technology both feasible and cost effective." Based in Toledo, Ohio, Dana Corporation is a leading supplier of axle, driveshaft, engine, frame, chassis, and transmission technologies. Dana people design and manufacture products for every major vehicle producer in the world -- in the automotive, commercial vehicle, and off-highway markets. http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/19990903/DANA http://photoarchive.ap.org/ DATASOURCE: Dana Corporation CONTACT: Jeff Cole of Dana Corporation, +1-419-887-3535, or Web site: http://www.dana.com/ Company News On-Call: http://www.prnewswire.com/comp/226839.html
