In recognition of National Coming Out Day and to help continue the
valuable work of the Lavender Youth Recreation and Information
Center (LYRIC), AnchorFree Wireless Inc., today announced that it
will donate half of its proceeds for one year from its Castro
District free Wi-Fi Hotzone to LYRIC House. At a press conference
earlier today at San Francisco's LYRIC House, David Gorodyansky,
president of AnchorFree Wireless announced the donation to LYRIC
House Executive Director Jodi Schwartz and San Francisco City and
County Supervisor Bevan Dufty. The LYRIC House provides a community
for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning
(LGBTQQ) youth of the San Francisco Bay Area where they have free
access to the counselors, resources, networking and information
they need to get through what can often be difficult teen years.
Similarly, AnchorFree Wireless gives free Wi-Fi internet access to
communities in and around San Francisco and the Bay Area.
AnchorFree's advertising features enable local advertisers to reach
audiences in the neighborhoods where they operate and now also
support the services of their communities with today's
announcement. As the first company to provide free Wi-Fi to The
Castro, Supervisor Dufty, on behalf of the Board of Supervisors of
the City and County of San Francisco, presented AnchorFree Wireless
with a Certificate of Honor: "In recognition of bringing to The
Castro District free Wi-Fi access, thereby bridging the
digital-divide and keeping The City on the cutting edge of an
increasingly competitive international business market, the Board
of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco extends to
you its highest commendation." "It is both wonderful and
appropriate that AnchorFree Wireless is supporting LYRIC on
National Coming Out Day," said Supervisor Bevan Dufty. "The
internet provides a lifeline to LGBTQQ youth needing information
and resources about coming out and leading healthy, happy,
connected lives," continued Dufty. "I commend AnchorFree for
bringing much needed attention and support to LYRIC in its
essential mission supporting our youth." "AnchorFree Wireless is
pleased to be able to help the LYRIC House provide their important
resources to the LGBTQQ teens of San Francisco," commented David
Gorodyansky, President, AnchorFree Wireless. "Free access to
information and services are our like-goals, so it is a natural fit
that AnchorFree be able to offer some of its resources to LYRIC
House on behalf of the advertisers in the Castro." "LYRIC is very
excited that AnchorFree is connecting us with the community where
we serve," offered Jodi Schwartz, Executive Director LYRIC House.
"The AnchorFree donation will help us continue our outreach to the
San Francisco Bay Area LGBTQQ teens." AnchorFree Wireless Access in

its five San Francisco Wi-Fi Hotzones (Cow Hollow, The Castro,
