Add Healthy Sizzle to Your Summer-Time Grilling
Try Safe and Natural 'Meatless' Grilling Options
IRVINE, Calif., June 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- There's good news for people
who want to enjoy backyard barbeques while helping their families eat more
healthfully. The rising trend in obesity rates is hitting American families
close-to-home, and people are looking for ways to embrace a healthier
lifestyle. Many are finding they can do just that by substituting a savory
meatless burger for the usual grilling staples.
High in protein, with no cholesterol, and lower in fat and calories than
regular burgers, meatless patties can be a more healthful way to grill. What's
more, meatless burgers have no risk of food-borne illnesses and offer a safe
option for consumers concerned about the latest threat of Mad Cow disease
entering the U.S. meat supply.
Companies like Gardenburger are strongly committed to food safety. According to
Scott Wallace, president and CEO of Gardenburger, "Mad Cow Disease and other
meat-borne food illnesses are one of the fundamental reasons why our company
exists. Our mission is to offer consumers an alternative that is safe, natural
and appetizing."
If you're thinking of eating more meatless products this summer, here are a
couple of easy-to-prepare grilling ideas from Gardenburger. Widely available
in a variety of great-tasting flavors, all-natural products like those from
Gardenburger add hearty and healthy sizzle to your summer grilling season.
