    *     Four new handsets launched in March and April 2008 for the fast growing Chinese domestic market

    ZTC Telecommunications Plc (LSE AIM: ZTC.L), a fast growing China based domestic designer, assembler and marketer of mobile phone
handsets, today announces the introduction of four new models launched in March and April, the ZT1698,ZT2188, ZT98 and ZT519 handsets.
    ZTC CEO Charles Huang commented, "We are pleased to announce the launch of four new handsets in March and April across the ZTC range.
The ZT1698 and ZT2188 handsets incorporate dual SIM card technology with new dual standby functionality, Analogue TV and DSM gaming. These
three functions have attracted significant interest as some of these functions are relatively new to the Chinese market. For the lower end
of the market we have launched the ZT98 & ZT519 handsets which offer increased function and practicality at a competitive price."

    Handset details:

    The ZT1698 and ZT2188 offer new sophisticated mobile phone technologies aimed at the higher end market, while the ZT98 and ZT519 models
offer easy to use functions, aimed at the lower income and less developed markets in China.
    The ZT1698 is the first ZTC handset to incorporate the dual SIM card technology combined with the dual standby function designed to
reduce roaming call charges. This improved functionality enables the user to change between SIM cards without having to reboot the handset.

    The ZT2188 is the first ZTC handset to offer analogue TV, with its large 2.8 inch LCD screen. The ZT2188 handset also has a built in DSM
game player which supports Nintendo Entertainment System gaming products. 
    The ZT98 and ZT519 handsets are primarily aimed at the lower income and less developed markets in China. They are competitively priced
and offer the user reliable user-friendly technology.
