Wolseley plc today announces the appointment of Nadia Shouraboura to the Board as a Non-Executive Director effective from 1 July 2017.
Nadia, a US Citizen, was formally a Vice President at Amazon.com, Inc. where she served on Jeff Bezos's senior leadership team and was responsible for implementing a new retail supply chain. After 8 years at Amazon, she founded Hointer Inc., a Seattle based consultancy that helps retailers create innovative in-store experiences. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Cimpress NV, which provides physical and digital marketing products for small businesses. Nadia holds a PhD in Mathematics from Princeton University and gained her first degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Moscow State University.
Commenting on the appointment Gareth Davis, Chairman of Wolseley plc, said:
"I'm delighted to welcome Nadia to the Board. Her considerable expertise in running complex logistics and supply chain activities will be invaluable. E-commerce remains a significant opportunity for the Group with over GBP2 billion of revenue generated from online activities last year and growing this channel remains an important part of our strategy. Nadia will join the Audit, Remuneration and Nominations committees of the Wolseley Board.

Nadia Shouraboura is chief executive of Hointer, a retail experience provider she founded in 2012. From 2004 to 2012 she was Technology Vice President, Global Supply Chain and Fulfilment Platform for Amazon.com. From 2002 to 2004 she was head of System Development for Exelon Power Team. Previously, she held various roles at Starlight Multimedia, Diamond Management and Technology, AT&T, at Robcad.
