Westhouse Holdings PLC
Appointment of Head of Equity Research and Further Strengthening of Research Team
Westhouse Holdings PLC, the corporate and institutional stockbroking group, is pleased to announce two strategic appointments to the firm's equity research team.
Joanna Parsons joins Westhouse Securities as Head of Equity Research. Joanna has been one of the top Extel ranked Small/Mid cap Insurance Analysts for a number of years and previously held the position of Head of UK Mid Market Research at RBS Global Banking & Markets. At RBS she managed the research product, involving over 30 analysts, which covered companies from GBP100m to GBP2.5bn of market capitalisation.
Michael Donnelly is joining Westhouse Securities as a Director in the Support Services sector team. Michael was at Canaccord Genuity, where he was Head of Support Services Research leading the team to achieve its first Extel rating.
Joanna Parsons commented:
"In the current financial markets it is critical that high quality companies are fully differentiated and properly presented to potential investors. It is Westhouse's determination to deliver that extra level of service and focus to both corporate and institutional clients in a way that the larger houses have struggled to do of late. I am delighted to be joining an ambitious firm like Westhouse and to be helping to drive forward this important part of its service offering to clients."
Christopher Getley, Chief Executive of Westhouse Securities, commented:
"These two appointments reflect our determination to continue to build our position as one of the leading independent stockbroking firms in the UK. Westhouse is now the fifth largest stockbroker by number of AIM clients and the eighth largest financial adviser by total number of stock market clients (Source: Morningstar UK, Q2 2012).
The economic landscape is challenging for our clients, and it is only through the best research and support in the financial market place that high quality investment opportunities are able to achieve their potential. I am delighted that Joanna and Michael are joining us."
