               UPDATE ON PREMIUM LISTING ON LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE 
 
Vancouver, B.C. September 21, 2010 -Western Coal Corp (TSX: WTN, WTN.WT and AIM: 
WTN) ("Company" or "Western") would like to reaffirm today its original 
intention (announced on 4th August 2010) to conclude a planned move to trading 
of its Common Shares on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange by 31 
December 2010. 
 
Western is in the process of restructuring its share capital and has decided for 
this process to run concurrently with the London Stock Exchange Listing. The 
restructuring involves the cancellation of 72,122,826 Common Shares of Western 
that are held by wholly owned subsidiaries of Western. Details of this process 
were announced on 3 August 2010 as part of the Q1 results statement. 
 
With this notice Western is updating a notice issued on 15 September 2010 
pursuant to Rule 41 of the AIM Rules, in which the target time frame for the 
London Stock Exchange listing was given as 30 September 2010. 
 
While admission to the Official List is subject to the relevant approvals by the 
UKLA, the Company is not aware of any matters which would prevent it from 
obtaining a premium listing on the Main Market.
